May was a bumper month where we invested a new personal best of £5,938 this was only possible due to us both receiving work-related bonuses. As a result of heavy losses on the stock market, our portfolio only grew in value by £3,585 despite our largest ever contribution.

This month saw us lose £2,912 on the stock market, our largest single month loss to date. Once again our cryptocurrency investments continued their upward climb to reach a total value of £6,736, up £560 for the month.

Based on the 4% withdrawal rule, if we stopped working today we would be able to withdraw £2,517 per year – so still a long way off retirement but edging closer!
